Outdated Methods

The French have never been that good at warfare -- at least not since Napolean. After World War I, they made a terrible tactical error. They were determined to avoid the same fate they'd met at the hands of the Germans, so they built a wall of sorts -- the Maginot Line -- along the border with Germany. It was supposedly impenetrable. The Nazis, using superior technology, just went around it and attacked through Belgium -- catching the French completely off guard.

A lot of Christians do something similar when it comes to defending and advancing the cause of Christ. We spend lots of time and energy fighting the current war with the weapons of a bygone era.

It's not enough to have a good goal, lots of resources and plenty of passion; you've got to have a sound strategy.
